Everyday uniform cap, for Sergeant Majors, Sergeants, Sailors and Cadets of the Navy (except Naval Infantry). Beskozirka - the standard uniform cap without a peak, worn by Russian soldiers, sailors and younger commanders as well as pupils of Naval Schools. Introduced in the Russian Army and Navy in 1811. In 1872, the Russian Fleet began putting a band on them with the name or the number of the ship to which the sailor was assigned. Nowadays, the name of the fleet or naval school is automatically inserted on the band. Good condition. Dated late 80s.
