Russian navy pea coat or bushlat, is a type of clothing for military sailors (for fall and spring). It is an outer coat made of black colored wool felt. The material is thick: these pea-coats weigh close to 4 lbs. (2kg). It has broad lapels, double-breasted front, metal buttons with anchor on them, and slash pockets. In Russian Navy bushlat was introduced in 1848 as an everyday dress for the sailors of the "working crews" and called “brushlat”. Later, it was called "burshlat", and eventually "bushlat". Although bushlat first appeared in the mid 19th century, modern versions still maintain the original design and composition. Manufactured in Russia in 2004. New.
